God's Generosity

"God has given gifts to each of you...manage them well so God's generosity can flow through you." (1 Peter 4:10)

As we all open presents from friends and family that we find under the tree and in our stockings, may we take time to remember the gifts that God has so graciously and generosly poured out on us. For every good and perfect gift is from Him (James 1:17). He is the source of all spiritual blessings (Ephesians 1:3), and He has given each of us unique spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 1:7).

God has given us grace
through faith,
and it is this grace alone that saves us.
It is not from ourselves
but from God.
(Ephesians 2:8)

God has given us eternal life
through Christ Jesus
when we deserve death because of our sins.
This eternal life is His Son.
(Romans 6:23,1 John 5:11)

God has given us spiritual gifts
and though all our gifts are different,
together we form one body.
(Romans 12:5-7)

God has given us blessings.
From the fullness of His grace
we recieve one blessing after another.
(John 1:16)

God has given us the Holy Spirit,
a comforter,
a counselor,
a reminder,
a deposit guaranteeing the things to come.

God has given us a task
to testify to the good news
which is all about God's undeserved gift of grace.
(Acts 20:24)

God has given us an outpouring of His love.
He has poured it into our hearts
by the Holy Spirit
whom he has also given to us.
(Romans 5:5)

God has given us His glorious grace
which is completely free,
undeserved,
and gained only through Christ.
(Ephesians 1:6)

God has given us strength
through Christ Jesus our Lord,
hope
that does not disappoint us,
and life
that is full and abundant.
(1 Timothy 1:12, Romans 13:15, John 10:10)

God has given us wisdom,
freely given
if only we ask.
(James 1:5)

God has given us new birth
into a living hope
through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
(1 Peter 1:3)

God has given us everything we need
to live a godly life,
to follow and obey Him,
to love and pursue Him.
(2 Peter 1:3)

God has given us promises,
His very great and precious promises
that will be fulfilled
because not one of His promises has failed.
(2 Peter 1:4)

God has given us understanding
that we may know Him who is true,
that we may know Him better,
deeper,
more intimately.
(1 John 5:20)

God has given us the water of life
for anyone who is thirsty
He says "Come!"
come and take the free gift
of the water of life.
(Revelation 22:17)
