Eating Disorders Hope

Check out the Eating Disorders Hope page. They so graciously shared my story this week and are doing great work to encourage and offer hope to people with eating disorders!

  1. Hi Ashli and I just wanted to say that your story was inspiring. I am currently suffering from my own eating disorder. But it's mostly my anxiety that takes over and prevents me from eating, I look for strength in my parents for comfort and care and here I am sitting and freaking out about if I'd make it through this. And when I saw your story on that website, I felt like...a hand on my shoulder and a voice whispering to me "You're strong and confident I just know it. You mustn't let yourself down". I do depend on a lot of medicines to help me cope and recover. I also, I have bipolar disorder so I tend to freak out easily. I'm going to print out your story (if that's not creepy at all), and keep it with me as a sign of hope/

  2. Thanks so much, Briana, for opening up and sharing! I am so thankful that my story was able to encourage you in some small way! I think it is really cool that you felt a "hand on your shoulder", and I really believe that was God reaching out to you and letting you know that you can trust in Him and depend on Him all the time. You are welcome to keep my story as a sign of hope (that's not creepy, it's cool!), but just remember to not put your hope in me or anyone else or medicine or whatever. Put your hope in God because He is the only one who won't disappoint us or let us down! I am here for you always, Ashli
